Celebrating Unity and Diversity: PACC-GSA's Participation in the 2025 MLK March

As we reflect on the 2025 MLK March in San Antonio, the Philippine American Chamber of Commerce - Greater San Antonio (PACC-GSA) is proud to have been part of this monumental event, recognized as the largest MLK March in the nation. This annual gathering is a powerful tribute to the enduring legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., emphasizing the vital importance of unity, diversity, and community engagement.

This year, my wife May, the Region Secretary of PACC-GSA, and I had the privilege of marching alongside the Asian American Alliance of San Antonio. This coalition, comprising numerous Asian organizations, is dedicated to promoting unity and diversity within our vibrant community. The march was a testament to the collective strength and resilience of our diverse backgrounds, coming together to celebrate the values of equality and justice that Dr. King so passionately championed.

Among the thousands of participants, we were honored to see notable figures such as Judge Peter Sakai, the first Asian American Bexar County Judge, and District 6 Councilwoman Melissa Cabello Havrda. Both are unwavering supporters of the Filipino community, and their presence highlighted the significance of fostering community ties and advocating for positive change.

The 2025 MLK March was not only a celebration of Dr. King's legacy but also an opportunity for PACC-GSA to connect with other passionate individuals and organizations committed to making a meaningful impact. It provided a platform for dialogue, collaboration, and the strengthening of community bonds.

As we look to the future, PACC-GSA remains steadfast in its mission to build bridges and strengthen our community through continued engagement and advocacy. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who participated and supported this meaningful event. Together, we can continue to work towards a more inclusive and equitable future for all.

Stay tuned for more updates and reflections from PACC-GSA as we continue our mission to inspire entrepreneurship and promote business growth within the Filipino and Filipino-American communities.
